Personal Web Page
Instructions

| Purpose |
The purpose of creating a personal web page is to stake
your claim in cyberspace. Generally, personal web pages are like
your desktop, containing the important things to you or providing access
to those things which are important to you. Typically, a person's
desk is a combination of professional and personal items (e.g., dictionary,
pictures of family members, phonebook, etc.). It would not be unreasonable
to assume that your personal home page will be similar. If you get
stuck anywhere, write to the class list and explain in detail what you
have completed, where you are stuck, and what types of errors you are receiving
when you do get stuck.

| Components |
Typically, a person's desk is a combination of professional
and personal items (e.g., dictionary, pictures of family members, phonebook,
etc.). It would not be unreasonable to assume that your personal
home page will be similar. Remember that whatever information you
provide on your web page can potentially be accessed by anyone in the world
with Internet access. It is customary to always provide your name
and your email address. Additional components may be included if
you wish, this is your personal expression.
|
| Process |
Web pages are considered to be dynamic, in that they are
always (or frequently) changing. The ability to publish a web page
easily is one of the advantages of publishing information to the web and
one reason that web pages are continually changing, or evolving.
Your personal web page will be a "work in progress" in that you will first
publish a basic page and in later weeks you will probably revise and develop
your personal web page.
