Medical laboratory technicians work in hospital laboratories, doctor’s offices and research settings.

Marshall University’s MLT program is fully accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS).

Our two-year program allows students to begin working in the field within 15 months. Our 2+2 career ladder program offers the Associate of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Technology as the first degree, which transitions seamlessly to our Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science degree program.
