About Substance Use Recovery

It is no surprise the country is battling an epidemic that crosses every demographic line. Opioids, specifically, have ravaged cities and towns across the United States. Today, every 19 minutes, one person dies from unintentional drug overdose.

But there is hope.

Studies show that recovery is possible and flourishes through community-based initiatives and partnerships. Through these measures and government funding, Marshall University is leading the charge toward positively impacting the nation’s opioid epidemic.
