High School Green and White Days

We can’t wait to see you and your students!

While traditionally, Green and White Day has relied on students signing up independently for the event, our high school-focused day has been created to expand the opportunity for students to get to know Marshall, especially those who might not have the means to visit otherwise. This event will also offer your juniors and seniors a fun-filled day that includes more than just a standard Marshall Group Visit.

UPCOMING DATES

  • Friday, February 2, 2024 from 9:00 to 1:30 PM or 10:00 to 2:30 PM
  • Friday, April 5, 2024 from 9:00 to 1:30 PM or 10:00 to 2:30 PM

Condensed schedules are available for schools who need to arrive early or leave late. Please email giuffrida@marshall.edu.

HIGH SCHOOL GREEN AND WHITE DAY EVENTS

Events are subject to change.

PARKING: Groups can be dropped off in the loop in front of the Memorial Student Center (1680 5th Avenue Huntington, WV 25755). Buses can park in the new paved lot by Mcdonalds on 21st street near the Joan C. Edwards Stadium (2001 3rd Ave, Huntington, WV 25703). You can see both locations on our campus map at: www.marshall.edu/map.

PICK UP: Buses can pick groups up in the loop in front of the Joan C. Edwards Playhouse (right across from the Memorial Student Center) or the loop in front of the Memorial Student Center.

Check-in for the event begins in the lobby of the Memorial Student Center (1680 5th Avenue Huntington, WV 25755). You can find the student center at #38 on our campus map.

All students will check-in as one group upon arrival with an enrollment services staff member. Please arrive on time to allow everyone a chance to check-in before the event starts.

Earn fun prizes with some Marshall Trivia, followed by words from some of Marshall’s administration. This session will conclude with a panel consisting of current Marshall students to give your students a first-hand look at what their Marshall Moment couple look like.

A fan favorite of Green and White Day – the Academic Showcase is your chance to explore all of our colleges and majors. Our award-winning faculty, staff, and students will have over 90 booths set up in the Marshall Rec Center, ready to answer your questions and show off their exciting programs.

Experience lunch like Marshall students in the Student Center Food Court or in Harless Dining Hall, our buffet-style dining facility. We’ll pick up the tab! Please let us know if any of your students have dietary restrictions.

Campus tours will dismiss from the Memorial Fountain behind the Student Center.

Our walking campus tour will take groups in Drinko Library and the First Year Residence Halls along with other favorite stops along the way. Feel free to ask your guide questions, like their favorite thing about being a Marshall student or why they chose Marshall University.

  • Please arrive on time to allow time for your group to check-in and use the bathroom before their tour. If you’re late, a full hour in the academic showcase may not be possible. Please feel free to arrive a little early!
  • Chaperones are responsible for their group while on campus.
  • Admissions, Financial Aid, and Housing and Residence Life will be available in the Academic Showcase to answer any relevant questions for you or your students.
  • When groups arrive at the Academic Showcase in Marshall Rec Center, seniors will have a chance to apply, and juniors will have a chance to register on Court 4.
  • Remind your students to wear weather-appropriate, comfortable clothing. They will be outside walking throughout the day.

If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to Victoria Giuffrida at giuffrida@marshall.edu or 304-696-6008.
