Thomas Biggs is an associate professor of classics at the University of Georgia. He completed his PhD at Yale University in 2014. Dr. Biggs is the author of The Epic Journey in Greek and Roman Literature published with Cambridge University Press (2019); Poetics of the First Punic War, in press at the University of Michigan Press, and the forthcoming Lucan’s Bellum Civile and the Poetic State of Exception. Dr. Biggs has given several invited talks on Lucan, Iustitium, and Agamben’s State of Exception, and has published countless articles on Roman imperial poetry.
Kevin Attell is associate professor of English at Cornell University. He is the author of Giorgio Agamben: Beyond the Threshold of Deconstruction (Fordham UP, 2015) as well as a number of articles and book chapters on modern fiction, translation, and contemporary continental philosophy.
