  • Who can check out equipment?
Current Marshall University students registered for Video Production courses requiring this equipment and students in the School of Art and Design or College of Arts and Media. Some equipment requires specific permission from a faculty member before being checked out.
  • What do you offer?
At each link below is a list of available equipment for checkout (Video, Audio, Lighting, etc).
  • How long can I check equipment out?
Each piece of equipment can be checked out for a maximum of 48 hours before late fees are applied. Students are welcome to renew their usage period at any time during scheduled Checkout hours.
  • What happens if I turn in equipment late?
A late fee of $0.50 per hour per item checked out will be charged to your account. For example: if three items are checked out, and you are three hours late, your late fees will total $9.00. They will increase until, after the third day, you are billed the entire price of the equipment along with a $25 processing fee.  Late fees can be paid at either the Bursar’s Office or Drinko Library.
  • Be sure to request all necessary accessories for your setup!
Some items may require you to provide batteries or you may need to request extra batteries for longer video shoots or lighting. It is your responsibility to know what equipment you need to make your setup work, that you have batteries, the correct batteries, etc.
