Biography

Lilly Dyer is a Marshall University alumni, receiving their BFA in photography from the School of Art and Design in 2020. After graduating from Marshall, they attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Peck School Of the Arts, earning their MFA in Studio Art in 2024. Working with photo, video, installation, performance, and object making, they explore how popular culture informs and shapes identity. Play and experimentation are not only at the heart of their work but are elements reflected in the classroom as well. Outside of the classroom, Lilly is a local community organizer who co-founded Localization, a movement geared towards the success of Appalachian artists and creative people.
