The Marshall University Women of Color Committee is in search of women on campus or in the community to award their prominent 2024 Women of Color Award to.
The 2024 Women of Color Day will be held on March 5, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. in the Memorial Student Center – Room BE5.
Our Women of Color Day celebration recognizes individuals who have conscientiously endeavored to increase respect for women of color and have contributed greatly towards promoting multicultural understanding and gender equality at Marshall University or in the Huntington Community.
- If you know someone who you would like to nominate for this prestigious award we ask that you please submit the nomination form below.
- The deadline for nominations will be Thursday, February 27, 2024.
Qualifications
Nominees must live, work, or volunteer in Cabell County or be a Marshall University employee or student.
Criteria
Nominees will be selected based on the following areas:
- Huntington community and/or Marshall University service
- Contribution towards promoting multicultural understanding and gender equality at Marshall University or in the Huntington community
Required Materials
A completed nomination form must have the following:
- Nominee’s list of honors, activities, awards, etc.
- A letter from nominating person stating why the nominee should receive the MU Women of Color Award. (Letters need to have contact information (names, phone number and email) of both the nominee and person recommending the nominee.
Deadline
Nominating forms must be submitted by Thursday, February 23, 2024.
