Healthy Herd Youth Camp
Join the action-packed Healthy Herd Youth Camp for exciting games, activities, and swimming. Energetic counselors mentor and coach kids aged 5-12 in a safe environment. Activities change daily, and advanced registration is a must due to limited capacity. Bring a water bottle, wear comfy clothes, pack lunch, towel, and swimwear for a thrilling experience!

Monday-Friday | 8am-5pm
- Camp programming will begin at 9pm.

Join us for an action-packed camp where kids get to celebrate and learn about their Hometown Heroes! Campers will have the chance to meet local heroes and participate in team-building challenges, all while making new friends and building confidence in a fun and supportive environment.

Get ready for an unforgettable Rec Rodeo, where kids can embrace the wild west with activities like swimming, rock climbing, and western-themed games! From bull riding simulators to team challenges, campers will experience the excitement of cowboy life while making new friends and developing confidence in a fun, action-packed environment.
Embark on a magical adventure at Disney Week, where kids can dive into swimming, rock climbing, and fun Disney-inspired activities! From princesses to superheroes, campers will enjoy themed challenges and creative games, all while making new friends and experiencing the enchantment of their favorite Disney worlds.
Ignite your curiosity at our STEM Week, where kids can experience hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math activities! From building boats to trying cool experiments, campers will dive into exciting projects, unleash their creativity, and discover the wonders of STEM in a fun and interactive environment.
Get ready for an action-packed Sports Week, where kids can enjoy our typical swimming, rock climbing, but add a wide range of team-based sports like soccer, basketball, and flag football! Campers will work together in teams, competing in exciting games, improving their skills in a multitude of activities while building teamwork and sportsmanship.
Dive into Water Week, where kids can enjoy swimming and a variety of water-based activities! From Marco Polo to indoor kayaking, campers will splash through exciting challenges, learn new water skills, and have a blast in the refreshing, water-filled adventures.

Celebrate Christmas in July at the Rec, where kids can enjoy a sleigh full of holiday-themed activities like ornament making and reindeer games! Campers will join in the holiday cheer and spread festive joy as they participate in team challenges, all while experiencing the magic of Christmas in the summer sun.
The Rec Olympics are coming! Get ready for an action-packed camp where kids can get faster, higher, and stronger together. With plenty of opportunities for friendly competition, teamwork, and medal-winning moments, campers will experience the thrill of the games in a fun and competitive week!
Spirit Week is here, and it’s time to show your Marshall pride with fun-filled days like Pajama Day, Marshall Day, Crazy Sock Day, Character Day, and Sports Jersey Day! Campers will dress up, get creative, and participate in spirited games and activities, all while celebrating their favorite characters, heroes, and teams in a week full of energy, laughter, and Marshall spirit.
Camp Out at Camp with an adventure-packed week filled with kayaking in the pool, setting up tents, and building epic forts! Campers will embark on a thrilling scavenger hunt, create their own cozy camp setups, and enjoy outdoor-inspired activities that bring the spirit of camping to life, all while making memories with friends.
Favorites Week is here, where campers get to choose their favorite activities from the previous weeks for a fun-filled, kid-approved lineup! From creating their own “Kids’ Choice Awards” to redoing the activities they loved most, campers will enjoy a week packed with their top picks, making it the perfect way to wrap up an unforgettable summer 2025.
The Healthy Herd Youth Camp operates as a licensed childcare facility within the state of West Virginia. Please note that we have a max capacity of 90 campers that we can accept per week. Once we have met that number, we will no longer be able to take additional registrations. If the registration packet is not properly filled out, then the Healthy Herd Youth Camp might not be able to take responsibility for your child. Certain parts of the packet will require information from your camper’s health care provider. Before a camper is eligible to attend a day of camp the registration packet must be filled out and submitted, in its entirety. If there is any documentation you would like to see or if you have any questions pertaining to the license, please reach out directly to the Camp Director, Lindsey Peterson.
