The Academy is licensed by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources Day Care Licensing Bureau and is inspected by the West Virginia State Fire Marshall as well as Cabell HuntingtonPhoto Representation: A Room Health Department. The Academy is nationally accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The Academy participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and accepts West Virginia childcare subsidies. The Academy follows best practice in the field of early childhood education as defined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
All employees and board members receive regular training in the standards set forth by these bodies and are expected to support these standards and to guide adults such as parents, students, volunteers, and visitors, to maintain these standards.
