Biography
Dr. Al-Badri is an Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Sciences and Electrical Engineering at Marshall University. He joined Marshall University in 2023. He previously served as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, College of Engineering and Mines, University of Alaska Fairbanks, Fairbanks, AK, USA from 2018-2023. His research interests include electric machine and drives, energy efficiency, power systems, and renewable energy systems. Dr. Al-Badri is a Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario, Canada, Senior Member of IEEE, an IEEE Officer, Chair of IEEE Std 114 Revision Committee, a Member of the IEEE Standard Association (IEEE SA), the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), IEEE Industry Applications Society, IEEE Power Engineering Society, IEEE IAS Electric Machines Committee, IEEE PES Electric Machinery Committee, and an Affiliate Faculty with the Pacific Marine Energy Center, USA.
