Biography
Dr. Gang S. Chen is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, CECS, Marshall University. Previously, he taught in University of Alaska Fairbanks. His industry experience included Gates Corporation in Michigan, IBM in California and Sony in Singapore. As an elected ASME fellow and SAE fellow, he once won a dozen of organization awards including Marshall University 2016 Distinguished Artists and Scholars Award.

Design, modeling and analysis of mechanical systems and vehicle systems.
Modeling, monitoring and diagnosis of dynamical systems (mechanical systems, vehicle systems, microsystem, sustainable energy systems, and oil drilling/lift system, awarded more than one million grants).
Author/coauthored more than 100 peer reviewed journal papers.
Author/coauthored more than 10 books published by Wiley, Elsevier, Springer, SAE and other publishers.
Editorial boards of six journals including two SAE flagship journals.
Co-organizers of session of SAE congress since 2008
