Biography
Dr. Suk Joon Na is an assistant professor in geotechnical engineering within the Department of Civil Engineering at Marshall University. He received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Drexel University in 2016, master’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2009. Prior to joining Marshall University, he worked as an instructor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Rowan University, and as a postdoctoral researcher at Drexel University. His research interests focus on failure analysis of polymer composite materials, 3D printed polymers, geosynthetics and sustainable construction materials using both experiments and computer simulations such as the finite element analysis. He is a recipient of two annual best paper awards at ANTEC, which is one of the world’s largest and most well-known technical conferences in the plastic engineering society.
