“…My experience at STAR was incredible in so many ways. I made so many lifelong friends and learned so much in the time I was there. It’s unreal that I can say I designed my own, fully functional virtual reality game. The professors and assistants were so much help, and I am so thankful to have met and worked with all of them. I stayed in my own dorm and got a feel of Marshall University student life. From walking to and from class every day and eating meals with my peers at the dining hall, I truly feel prepared for the campus aspect of college…”

“… STAR camp was amazing. We all got along well and helped each other. My research topic was Machine Learning. I was programming Machine Learning algorithms to detect human errors. There were multiple ways to develop the algorithm, and we had to test and picked the best way to generate desirable outcomes of the project. I enjoyed being with everyone in the camp. We also got to see their progress on their projects each Friday when we were presenting. I enjoyed the experience of the camp and wish for others to enjoy and have a great time too…”
