Biography
Susan Lanham has been working in the field of forensic accounting since 1995 and has testified as an expert witness in a multitude of cases. She has prepared over 2,000 economic loss valuation reports for use in courts across many different jurisdictions. Susan received her PhD in Advanced Accounting from North Central University in 2013 and an MBA from Salem International University in 2007. Her work has been published in journals such as the Journal of Forensic & Investigative Accounting, Business Law Review, and the American Journal of Business Education. Susan was awarded Best Overall Conference Presentation at Marshall’s 2023 Business Research Conference for her work titled “The Quantum Shift: Preparing Businesses for Looming Encryption and Data Security Challenges”. She also received the Robert Bruce Hayes Award for Excellence in Teaching at the Lewis College of Business in 2019 and was a finalist for the Pickens Queen Teaching Award from Marshall University in 2016.
