Biography
Kevin Levine is an Assistant Professor in the Lewis College of Business Department of Marketing, MIS, and Entrepreneurship and the Marshall University School of Music. Professor Levine has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in entrepreneurship, legal environment, marketing, management, commercial music, and music history.
Professor Levine received his BBA in Marketing from Marshall University, his MBA from Marshall University, and his JD from the West Virginia University College of Law, where he was a published member and Executive Research Editor of the West Virginia Law Review, the fourth oldest law review in the United States. Professor Levine also holds a Specialist Certificate in Music Business from the Berklee College of Music Extension School.
As the founder of L. Kevin Levine, PLLC in Nashville, Tennessee, Professor Levine also maintains a legal practice concentrated in entertainment, copyright, trademark, brand development and protection, and business law. Professor Levine is also recognized by the West Virginia State Bar as a trained mediator.
A native of Huntington, West Virginia and second generation Marshall University graduate, Professor Levine feels a close connection to the Huntington and Marshall communities. Before law school, Professor Levine served as Director of Sales and Marketing for The Pied Piper, Inc., a musical instrument and audio-video retailer founded by his father and uncle, which in 1991, Music Trades magazine ranked the third largest full-line music retailer in the United States. Professor Levine is also an active musician (primarily drums and percussion).
