Biography

Brandi Waiters is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse background and extensive experience in academia and human resources. She holds a Master of Science in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Instructional Technology and Library Science, both earned from Marshall University. Additionally, Brandi obtained an Associate of Science degree from Mountwest Community and Technical College, further enriching her educational foundation.

Brandi’s journey at Marshall University spans several years, during which she has served in various capacities, each contributing to her multifaceted skill set and unwavering dedication to excellence. She began her tenure as a Student Records Assistant within the College of Health Professions, School of Nursing, providing invaluable support to students and faculty. Her responsibilities included advising support, admissions processes, and maintaining accurate records.

Transitioning into roles within the Marketing and Communications Teams at Old Main, Brandi continued to make significant contributions to the university community. As an Office Administrator, she played a pivotal role in departmental financial management and HR administrative support. Her dedication to ensuring the smooth functioning of operations and her proactive approach to problem-solving were instrumental in driving organizational success.

Brandi’s commitment to excellence extends beyond academia, as demonstrated by her role as Human Resource Manager and HR Safety and Training Coordinator at Goodwill Industries of KYOWVA Area, Inc. There, she implemented HR policies, conducted training, and ensured compliance with regulatory standards, fostering a positive work environment across multiple retail locations.

Currently, Brandi serves as a Project Coordinator for several departments within Marshall University’s College of Business, including Management and Marketing. In this role, she provides essential support to strategic efforts aimed at increasing and retaining student enrollment. Her responsibilities include academic event planning, recruitment initiatives, and inventory management, contributing to the overall success of the college.
