Biography

Dr. Jean Price received her PhD at Indiana University in 1992. She has been the Department Chair of the Lewis College of Business department of Accountancy and Legal Environment since July of 2019. Previously she served as Associate Dean of Accreditation and Strategic Initiatives. Dr. Price has taught several undergraduate and graduate classes at Marshall including Accounting Professionalism, Intermediate Accounting I, and Auditing AIS. Dr. Price’s research interests include technology trust and governance, and accounting education research. She has published in high-quality journals including the Journal of Information Systems and the Journal of Strategic Information Systems among others. Dr. Price was the recipient of the West Virginia Society of CPAs Accounting Educator award in 2017.
