Biography
Monisha Gupta joined the Lewis College of Business with over twenty years of expertise in marketing and sales. She has held prominent positions in the fields of sales management, advertising, hospitality, retail, consulting, and product development. In addition, she also has a significant entrepreneurial background. She has spearheaded an advertising agency and managed successful franchise operations for leading brands. Monisha has lived and worked in Asia, Europe, and North America which adds to her knowledge of several languages and cultures. It is this enriched experience that she brings to the classroom.
In 2021, Monisha won the Dr. Robert P. Alexander Mentorship Award which goes to a faculty member at the Lewis College of Business who demonstrates excellence in mentoring students. In 2022, she won the Marshall University LCOB Annual Faculty Service Award. The award recognizes the faculty member whose service is exemplary as evidenced by engagement in various efforts that make a positive impact on students, the College, the University, and the community.
Monisha serves on the board of directors for Goodwill of KYOWVA and the Community Advisory Board for Truist Bank. Additionally, she is the Director of the Truist Center for Leadership at the Lewis College of Business. She teaches Consumer Behavior, Consulting, and Introduction to Marketing.
