Marshall University’s Master of Social Work students have joined forces with Harmony House to host a cleaning product drive. The drive will benefit residents of Vanity Fair who are at risk for hygiene-related evictions.
Donations for the cleaning product drive can be dropped off June 16 through June 29 at the following locations:
- Prichard Hall, Room 317 on Marshall’s Huntington campus
- Gullickson Hall’s Behavioral Health Clinic (Basement G01) on Marshall’s Huntington campus
- Kroger
- Drug Emporium
- Christ Temple Church
- Cabell County Department of Health and Human Resources
- Pullman Square Summer Concert Series (only from 6-9 p.m., Thursday, June 28)
Supplies needed for a successful drive include Pine-Sol® or equivalent; dish soap; bleach; disinfectant cleaner; paper towels; mops and brooms; sponges and cleaning cloths; buckets; disinfectant wipes; Mr. Clean Magic Erasers® or equivalent; distilled white vinegar to kill mold; and cleaning gloves.
Students will be conducting a basket raffle and accepting donations at the June 28 Pullman Square Summer Concert Series event. Tickets for the raffle are $1 per ticket or $5 for six tickets.
