Marshall’s International Conversation Partner Program is a program that pairs international and domestic participants to improve English language acquisition and build cross-cultural relationships.
Program Details
- This program is built on a foundation of conversation, cultural exchange, and friendship.
- The program runs for 10 weeks throughout each semester.
- Partners will remain with their match throughout the 10 weeks.
Expectations for Participants in the Program
- Participate in a mandatory Meet & Greet with matched partner and a staff member prior to starting program.
- Sign a Memorandum of Agreement stating you have received a copy of the guidelines and understand the expectations and rules.
- Meet or talk at a mutually agreeable time.
- Understand the purpose of the program, and work to create a mutually beneficial partnership.
- Respect and keep an open mind towards different cultures, customs, and opinions.
- Refrain from dating, making sexual or romantic advances, proselytizing, and/or engaging in illegal activities with your partner.
- Follow all rules and guidelines set forth by the program organizers.
- Respond to a debriefing survey at the completion of the program.
