Marshall University health and safety officials were notified earlier today that higher education institutions in West Virginia MAY be receiving COVID-19 vaccine for students before the end of this semester.
We have been asked to survey our students about their willingness to receive the vaccine IF IT IS OFFERED.
If you are a current student and would be willing to be vaccinated before the end of the current semester, please complete our quick COVID-19 Vaccination Survey no later than 10 a.m. Monday, March 15, to register your interest.
All survey responses are confidential and will be used solely for the purposes of requesting enough vaccine if the university does receive an allotment for students later this semester.
For now, we anticipate that all vaccinations would be administered on the Huntington campus. Students in South Charleston or the Mid-Ohio Valley Center would need to travel to Huntington if they wish to receive a vaccine.
The vaccinations would be entirely voluntary. If you do not want to receive a vaccine, you do not need to complete the survey.
Everyone who completes the survey will receive follow-up information as plans are finalized.
