The US Cyber Team has emerged as a formidable competitor in international cybersecurity competitions, with Marshall University’s own Dr. Josh Brunty providing leadership as Head Coach!
The team’s impressive 2024 season included a silver medal finish in the European Cybersecurity Competition (ECSC) in Turin, Italy, and a strong 4th place showing in the International Cybersecurity Competition (ICC) in Santiago, Chile. Competing against the world’s elite cyber talent, these achievements have established Team USA as a rising power in global cyber competitions.
Brunty’s coaching experience and effectiveness has earned him a historic invitation to return for the 2025 season – the first US head coach to serve for consecutive years. Under his guidance, the team will continue its international journey in 2025 with upcoming competitions in Warsaw, Poland and Tokyo, Japan.
