High School Science Day gets students’ and teachers’ hands on Science

Share

High School Science Day was a huge success for all involved! Thank you to all the teachers and chaperones that attended the 2025 Marshall University High School Science Day on April 7th! Over 500 students from 14 schools across the region attended.

This event was made possible in part through the NASA West Virginia Space Grant Consortium, Grant # 80NSSC20M0055 as a NASA Day event.

The event was an amazing opportunity for students and teachers to participate in hands on and visually exciting demonstrations in the STEM fields! Students also got to see the College of Science Scanning Electron Microscopes, the portable planetarium, and get a taste of liquid nitrogen ice cream. Many thanks to the Chemistry Department for supplying the liquid nitrogen! Thank you to the countless faculty, staff, student groups, off campus institutions & vendors, and undergraduate and graduate student volunteers that helped make it an awesome day for the high school students and teachers in attendance! Without such an army of support, events like this could not happen! Well done to all involved!
