No tricks, just treats! The Marshall University Astronomy Club, the Society of Physics Students, and Pi MU Epsilon hosted a night of Halloween party fun for all members and faculty from the Department of Mathematics and Physics in attendance! Activities included costume judging, contests and games, a potluck, a movie showing, and telescope use on Buskirk Field. Several dozen curious sky-watchers came out to see the night sky. The Dobsonian and Tele Vue-85 telescopes were used to catch glimpses of Saturn and Jupiter (alongside a spotting scope brought from Dr. Brooks). Facility Operations Personnel that maintain the Science Building were also invited to come join the festivities and fun. It was a fun night for all! For more information about the Marshall University Astronomy Club (MUAC), please contact MUAC President Hannah Turner or MUAC Advisor Dr. Sean P. McBride. We wish you a Happy Halloween!
