Are you teaching a Writing Intensive course for the first time and haven’t completed your certification? A professional development module on Blackboard allows new WAC faculty to gain their initial certification. It will begin with an asynchronous online portion on March 10 and end with attending the WAC Spring Symposium on April 4.
IPED Regional Teaching Conference

This annual conference is a professional development opportunity for faculty, staff, and administrators from Marshall University and all regionally accredited Colleges and Universities; it offers sessions based on a central theme chosen by conference organizers. Registrants participate in interactive presentations, panel presentations, roundtable discussions, workshops, and clinics which are developed around the conference theme.
Embedding Reading Instruction Workshop

When it comes time for reading discussion, are you noticing more and more uncomfortable silence in the room? This workshop will describe some easy strategies to incorporate reading instruction into your courses to help students improve their active and critical reading skills.
