Overview
The Marshall University Blackboard Ultra Academy is facilitated through the Design Center. It is offered in an asynchronous format to allow instructors to work at their own pace. Instructors will be provided with an exercise course and a sandbox course to complete activities. Designed as a workshop, the five modules allow instructors to experience Ultra in a hands-on manner. The modules cover: content creation, student engagement tools, and gradebook. Time investment is typically one week.
Recognition
The Ultra Academy is open to all Marshall University contracted instructors. Upon completion of all requirements, instructors will receive certification, which they can display on their Blackboard course page. To receive the certification badge, be sure to complete the last course requirement – a short tour of your Ultra course. The certification will signify your commitment to providing students with the most engaging and current tools in course design.
Registration
The Online Academy course is now offered continuously. In an effort to ensure that all faculty can access resources for the Ultra transition, you can register and begin working at your own pace whenever your schedule permits. After you register, look for the Ultra Academy course to populate within your current Blackboard courses.
