About

Sarah Schaefer Walton joined the Marshall English faculty in 2023. Her research and teaching focus on nineteenth-century British literature and travel, Jane Austen, fan studies, and digital methods. She’s the Director of Digital Humanities at Marshall, an Associate Director of the public humanities non-profit organization the Jane Austen Summer Program, and co-creator of Jane Austen’s Desk, an NEH Digital Project for the Public.
