About
Kelli Prejean has been a member of the English faculty since 2005 and has served as the Writing Center Director (2005-2011), the Assistant Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning (2011-2012), served as Coordinator of Composition (2012-2020), and is now serving as Associate Dean of the College of Liberal Arts. She teaches courses in composition theory and pedagogy, literacy studies, and research-based composition. Her interests are in the professional development of new writing teachers and in understanding the complexities of literacy as they relate to identity and sponsorship. She is also pursuing research on the intersections between gender and program administration and the “emotional labor” of WPA work.
