Biography
Cora Westmoreland, M.A. is the Executive Assistant to the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel, in the Office of General Counsel & External Affairs. She provides high-level administrative support in several areas including assisting counsel with litigation and grievance management, litigation management, file management, and numerous other administrative duties.
Westmoreland came to Marshall University in 1987. In 2010 she joined the Office of General Counsel, which is a part of the executive team of Marshall University. In 2022 the department expanded and has been renamed to the Office of General Counsel & External Affairs.
During her tenure at Marshall University, she earned three degrees from Marshall – Associate of Applied Science in 1994, Bachelor of Applied Science in 2010, and Master of Arts in 2017.
