At Marshall, we love to see our undergraduates continue their education at the next level and we want to make the transition a little easier. With more than 55 master’s degree programs, we offer degrees in all areas of study. The One of the Herd Graduate Tuition Waiver is our way of making the transition from undergraduate to master’s study a little easier.
With this new scholarship, a Marshall student who receives an undergraduate degree in Fall 2023, Spring 2024, or Summer 2024 and starts a master’s program no later than Fall 2024 will receive a $500 tuition waiver in their first semester of graduate school.
Interested? Simply apply to a master’s program. There is no application fee to apply for Spring 2024, Summer 2024, or Fall 2024 – you can complete the online application any time.
You only need to apply to the master’s degree program of your choice. You do not need to apply separately for the One of the Herd Graduate Tuition Waiver. To be eligible, you must receive an undergraduate degree from Marshall in Fall 2023, Spring 2024, or Summer 2024. You must also be accepted and begin your first semester in a Marshall master’s degree program in Spring 2024, Summer 2024, or Fall 2024. You must owe tuition for the tuition waiver to be applied. If you owe less than $500 in tuition, the waiver will cover the amount of tuition that you owe.
All master’s-level programs at Marshall are included. Ed.S. and doctoral programs are not included at this time. Students who are only enrolled in certificate programs are not eligible, but students who are enrolled in a master’s program as well as certificate programs are eligible.
In an accelerated master’s degree, you receive an undergraduate degree after the first year of the accelerated program and become fully accepted as a graduate student in the second year. You will be eligible for the One of the Herd Tuition Waiver if you receive your undergraduate degree in Fall 2023, Spring 2024, or Summer 2024 and continue your master’s degree the following semester.
This tuition waiver applies to base tuition only, not fees or other costs. The One of the Herd Graduate Tuition Waiver can be combined with other tuition benefits such as graduate assistantship benefits, but this tuition waiver cannot reduce your tuition below zero.
Yes, online, virtual, or hybrid classes are covered the same as face-to-face classes.
