What to Expect

What You Can Expect

WV Governor’s School of Entrepreneurship (GSE) in 2024 is a two-week residential program that focuses on fostering the entrepreneurial spirit and instincts of each individual.  Rather than no-energy lectures, GSE delivers its content through interactive discussion, assignments, and other hands-on applications to promote activity, engagement, and retention.  For a more thorough itemization of learning objectives and the tools involved, please consult the Program Guide.

Although GSE leans heavily into active, participatory learning techniques, and the schedule chock-full of experts that can assist in learning, there is also a good balance of recreational and relaxation time built into the schedule so that we avoid burnout and frustration.  Day-trips to Blenko Glassworks, Heritage Farm’s Adventure Park, and other similarly fun activities are set in the schedule.

What We Expect

Effort.  Without effort, success is virtually impossible to achieve.  And by providing (and showing) your effort, you give faculty, mentors, and coaches the opportunity to observe and to understand your current capabilities while dialing-in your untapped potential.  So, give us effort – and your rewards will abound.
