Eligibility Requirements
Qualified early entry students who live near one of our campuses can also attend regular college classes in our classrooms. These courses count for college credit; some high schools may also allow our courses to count for high school credit.
Early admit high school students may take two courses per college term. Students may choose to take a combination of dual credit, on-campus and online courses.

Some courses may be restricted to regularly admitted Marshall students (FYS 100, ENG 204 and others) or may require completion of a prerequisite course.

Cost of On-Campus Courses for High School Students
Tuition for high school students is offered at a discounted rate of $25 per credit hour. Most courses for high school students are three credit hours (approximately $75 per course).
Tuition for online and on-campus courses is paid through the Office of the Bursar at Marshall. More information is available on our FAQ page.
Application and registration deadlines coincide with our academic calendar. The admissions process should be completed prior to the start date of each term. If you are interested in taking classes, you should apply as soon as possible. Registration is based on seat availability.
School counselors can send your letter of recommendation and high school transcripts to admissions@marshall.edu after you let them know you have submitted your admissions application.
After receiving your admissions letter, course registration requests can be submitted online.
Please note, for any summer term that begins after your high school graduation date, you will need to apply for freshman (first-year) admission.
