Greetings!
I hope that everyone has had a rewarding and productive semester. As of today, the semester has come to an end and we are each, in our own way, preparing for some well-deserved time away from our work here at Marshall to spend time during a break with family and friends.
As with most of you, the student writers and editors of the Honors Oracle have been busy right up until the very end. In their case, not only with their class papers and exams but also producing the latest edition of Honors College newsletter for us all. We are grateful for their service to the college and our community.
The fourth edition of 2019-2020 academic year has been published on Marshall Digital Scholar (MDS). MDS is the institutional repository for creative and scholarly work produced at Marshall University. Please visit the link below to find the PDF file. It is downloadable by clicking on the blue “Download” button in the right-hand sidebar.

You can share editions of the Honors Oracle through social media or email with a click on one of the links in the right-hand sidebar on that MDS page. You can also find an RSS feed for the Honors Oracle on in the left-hand sidebar on the page linked to above. It is possible to subscribe to the feed and never miss an edition by clicking on “Notify me via email or RSS.”
If you are interested in joining the staff of the Honors Oracle, please let Dr. Hoey know. We have space for another writer/reporter. Serving on the Honors Oracle entails registering for HON 484. Writers earn 1 credit hour and editorial staff earn 2 credit hours toward fulfilling their general honors credit requirements that are a part of the Honors Curriculum.
Enjoy your newsletter and also be sure to also refer to Twitter (@MarshallUHonors) and our website for sources for Honors College news (in the right-hand sidebar of our website).
Happy Holidays and a Best Wishes for the New Year!
