Performance/Act Registration

Eligibility & Registration

• Open to individuals or groups: Performers can be solo artists, bands, dance groups, or other performance types that showcase cultural traditions.
• Registration Deadline: Ensure you complete the registration form by Friday, November 1, 2024.
• Notification: You will be notified of your confirmed attendance when you submit a completed application.
• Cultural focus: The performance should highlight or represent a specific culture, country, or region.

Cultural Sensitivity

• Appropriateness: Performances must be respectful and authentic to the culture being represented. Avoid stereotypical or inappropriate depictions.
• Costumes: Traditional or culturally relevant costumes are encouraged but must adhere to festival guidelines for decency and respect.

Performance Types

• Music: Traditional, contemporary, or fusion music performances.
• Dance: Folk, traditional, or modern dance from different cultures.
• Theater: Short skits, plays, or spoken word performances.
• Other Performances: Martial arts demonstrations, storytelling, or other culturally significant activities.

Performance Duration

• Time limit: Each act may be between 5 to 30 minutes.
• Multiple performances: Multiple performances are allowed if time permits.

Technical Requirements

• Set-up time: Performers should plan minimal set-up and breakdown times to ensure the event stays on schedule.

Rehearsal

• Final performance schedule: The final schedule is often distributed after rehearsals or once all performers are confirmed.
