1. Understand expectations of an International Recruiting Partner, Marshall University and Marshall University Office of Admissions.
2. Be knowledgeable about the Marshall University experience, international education processes, undergraduate and graduate admissions and our admissions cycle.
3. Provide timely feedback to the Office of Admissions on the recruiting experience and needs.
4. Actively participate in assigned recruitment opportunities
5. Complete required training.
6. Complete assigned wrap-up items including promptly returning any items belonging to the Marshall University Office of Admissions.
7. Conduct yourself in a professional manner as a representative of Marshall University.
8. Renew commitment as needed
9. Time Commitment: International Recruiting Partners are expected to commit approximately 10 hours of service per semester, excluding; trainings, commute times, and communications. There may be an increase in expected hours during the fall and spring as recruitment efforts increase.
10. International Recruiting Partners may be asked to participate in a variety of recruitment activities. These activities include but are not limited to:
a. College and Career Fairs: International Student Recruiter to work college and career fairs and provide academic information, application information, and valuable insight for prospective students and their families relative to becoming a Son/Daughter of Marshall.become a Son/ Daughter of Marshall.
b. High School Visits: International Student Recruiters may wish to visit local high schools to promote Marshall University and are expected to work with staff at the high school to arrange these visits.
c. Student Referrals: International Student Recruiters are an extension of the Marshall University community in various areas around the world. If there are prospective students that would make great Sons/Daughters of Marshall, please recommend them. A recommendation, however, does not impact the review of the admissions application of the recommended prospective student.
11. Must return all items borrowed during activities. International Recruiting Partners are subject to billing for the cost of any and all damaged or missing item or items (this includes table cloths).
12. Insurance: This agreement creates an official volunteer position with Marshall University. As such, all volunteers will be covered by the State's liability protection program so long as s/he is performing duties within the scope of the description provided above.
13. Confidential Information: Confidential information is all information that the Office of Admissions considers to be confidential, personally identifying or proprietary information of the office or third-party sources. Confidential information may include, but is not limited to: information about name, mailing address, email, phone, degree, date of birth, identification numbers, ethnicity, event registration, and event participation, information about prospective, admitted, enrolled and continuing students.
