Job Description: ERP- focused Responsibilities:
Responsible for working within the University Enterprise Applications Group, to support and maintain the University’s applications and functionality. More specifically to maintain and ensure effective administration of the Marshall University Learning Management System, including but not limited to: testing and posting new content, troubleshooting administrative and user technical issues, ensuring accurate audience assignments and assessment scoring, documenting processes and policies, and developing reports and queries for a variety of internal constituents.
LMS – focused Responsibilities:
Primarily maintains Learning Management System (LMS) including troubleshooting and fixing user issues. Develops and documents processes or policies as needed to establish consistent use of the system. Provides learning management system support to leadership. Trains managers/supervisors/course designers on basic use of the system’s self-serve functionalities such as reporting, development and delegation of competency assessments and the creation of electronic technical checklists. Develops reports and queries that are concise, intuitive, and actionable for organizational users. Works with education staff, regulatory, and subject matter experts to create and manage system-level learning assignment. Communicates with LMS vendor to ensure system accessibility and technical standards. Tests all changes to the LMS, posts and test e-Learning modules, ensures accurate audience assignment and assessment scoring. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves problems with courses, course design, LMS configuration and infrastructure. Oversees vendor management for online learning content (manage the relationship, deliverables, report out to management and human resources) Oversees the installation of all system updates, upgrades, integrated tools, and other software integrated within the learning management system. Compiles and communicates performance metrics for online and classroom training courses in order to measure training effectiveness. Makes recommendations on future improvements to content management, workflow processes, and user experience.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Computer Science or related field is required; 3-5 years of technology experience; Experience programming web applications. Experience with web server applications; Experience with one or more of the following web based programming languages, PHP,.NET, ASP, Java; Experience with working with database systems, preferably an RDBMS such as MS-SQL Server, MySQL and Oracle; A strong understanding of SQL; Adequate proficiently with forward facing web technologies and scripting languages, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML and XSLT.
