About our CIO Jodie Penrod
Dr. Jodie Penrod is the Associate Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Marshall University. She leads the division of Information Technology of around 80 professional staff serving the entire university.
Jodie holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, M.S. in Systems Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Instructional Technology. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Professional in Healthcare Information Management Systems (CPHIMS), ITIL-Foundation Certified, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certified.
Jodie’s interests and research include classroom and hybrid learning technology, process improvement, and optimizing the student experience in higher education. Jodie has written three articles for Educause Review and has presented at Educause, InfoComm, and other professional conferences related to higher education technology.
