Lavender Ceremony

The LGBTQ+ Office host its annual Lavender Ceremony to honor and celebrate the achievements and contributions of our graduating Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning+ and Ally students. The Lavender Ceremony is traditionally held the week of Spring and any graduate or undergraduate are invited to take part in this annual celebration.

Lavender Celebration is optional for all students of Marshall and is not a University requirement. This graduation is also held on a separate day of the University’s official graduation as to allow students to choose to go to both if they wish.

The 2024 Lavender ceremony will be held on April 17th at 5:00 p.m. in the Joan C. Edwards Playhouse.
