Banned and challenged for being sexually explicit, dealing with sex education and LGBTQIA+ content.
This comprehensive, thoughtful, well-researched graphic novel was written to help teens navigate friendships, relationships, jealousy, rejection, body image, gender, sexuality, and sex.
On April 4, the mayor of Anderson County (TN) and four county commissioners asked the sheriff to investigate whether 17 titles in the county’s four public libraries violated state obscenity laws. The titles included Let’s Talk About It. While three of the books had previously been challenged and retained without restriction at the Clinton Public Library, the other titles had not been formally challenged. According to County Commissioner Stephen Verran, the list of titles was compiled by the Republican
National Committee. The sheriff’s office found no grounds to pursue criminal charges. Let’s Talk About It and the other titles were retained.
