Tuesday Talks
Our monthly speaker series, Tuesday Talks, presents a variety of topics for your edification. Prior topics include older adults in the community; How and Why We Should Be Engaged, Cyber Security, Hidden Treasures in the Collections of the Cabell County Library, The Civil War in Cabell County, Marshall University, Artificial Intelligence, and more!
Our members-only archive provides video and presentation slides for past Tuesday Talks so you never have to miss a program!
Concierge Registration for Auditing MU Courses
West Virginia residents aged 65 and older are eligible to audit Marshall University courses for the discounted rate of $50 per class. Let us take care of all the leg work involved in activating your student record, registering for courses, and taking payment to the Bursar’s office.
LLP Tuesday Talks include a variety of presenters from Marshall and the community. Talks are held on campus, off campus, and on Zoom.
Library
The following rules are extended to library access:
- Checkout up to 10 items from the General Collection.
- Checkouts for books are generally 6 weeks in length.
- Checkouts for DVD’s, Bluerays and CDs are 7 days.
- Due to high demand, items such as laptops and other equipment are available to registered students, faculty and staff only.
- Library cards will be required for each time you come to checkout materials. These cards WILL NOT grant access to the card swipe into the building for overnight hours, etc.

LLP Members also have access to EBSCO’s Consumer Health Complete and Business Source Premier (Alumni Edition).
LLP members have access to circulation and databases from Marshall’s libraries.
