Marshall University Police Department staff will be on hand to ensure that traffic is kept moving and that you will be able to park and unload your belongings as close as possible to the front door of your residence hall (preferably for 5-15 minutes).
Weekday rush hour traffic on the major roadways including I-64, Hal Greer Blvd. (16th Street) and 5th Avenue will be heaviest from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Students moving into First Year North and South residence halls are encouraged to park in the stadium parking lot across from our Marshall Campus Recreation Center or the parking lot located beside our Sorrell Building and behind Fat Patty’s Restaurant.
- Students moving into Marshall Commons are encouraged to park alongside 6th avenue or in the parking lot found at 18th street and 6th avenue.
- Students moving into Twin Towers East and West or Buskirk Hall are encouraged to use the parking lot found at 5th avenue and 19th street.
