“Safety is an integral part of operating a business in today’s world,” said Toney Stroud, Safety Technology Advisory Board chairman. “Employers invest a significant amount of company resources to ensure their employees have a safe work environment. Thus, we are excited to offer this opportunity for area businesses to learn and share information necessary to create and maintain a safety-conscious culture in the workplace.”
The Safety Technology program, housed in the College of Information Technology and Engineering, provides students with a comprehensive preparatory experience and real-world application of skills, for entry-level occupational safety and health jobs with industry, commercial, government and service organizations.
