Four medical students matched into military residency programs

Four medical students at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine have matched into military residency programs at military health care facilities across the nation.

The 4th-year students and their match locations are as follows:

Kyle M. Burner                       Family Medicine          U.S. Army        Martin Army Community Hospital, Fort Benning, Columbus, Georgia.

Robert J. Lewis                      Transitional Year         U.S. Army       Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland.

David M. Modlin                    General Surgery          U.S. Army       Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Augusta, Georgia.

Daniel J. Roberson                  Transitional              U.S. Navy      Navy Medical Center, San Diego, California.

The military match is the armed services equivalent of the civilian National Residency Matching Program (NRMP), which announces its residency matches in March annually.
