Rec Center to launch Studio X circuit Feb. 22

Share
Have you always wanted to hire a personal trainer? The Marshall Recreation Center has a more affordable solution for the Marshall community with the creation of Studio X.

“We have completely renovated a studio to launch the new Studio X,” said Personal Training Coordinator Chris Lane. “Studio X Circuit will be something very different from our normal group fitness classes. It is a 10-minute high intensity workout that changes every day.”

Studio X Circuit will provide all the benefits of a personal trainer, but in a group fitness setting. The workout consists of 10 minutes per round with 40 seconds of work and 20 seconds of rest. It will focus on different muscle groups that will change daily. Participants can complete up to 3 rounds per visit. This format allows participants to take a break between rounds or complete all rounds in a row.

Members of the Marshall community are encouraged to purchase a pass for the Studio X Circuit and drop in anytime Studio X is open. Participants do not need to be scheduled in advance. Drop-ins are welcome, Lane said.

Studio X will be open during the following times:

  • Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays   6-8 p.m.
  • Wednesdays                                     4-6 p.m.

The Marshall Recreation Center will officially open Studio X for classes to the Marshall Community on Monday, Feb. 22.  The week of February 15-18 is free for members who would like to try out this new service. Non-members can gain access by purchasing a Rec Center guest pass for $10.

Anyone who wishes to purchase a package for Studio X Circuit at the Marshall Recreation Center could do so at the membership desk in the Pro Shop. The package prices are 5 sessions for $25 or 10 sessions for $40.

“Bringing circuit training at an affordable cost to our students and members has been an important goal of ours since we opened our doors. It is great seeing that goal become a reality,” said Michele Muth, assistant director, marketing and memberships, at the Rec Center.
