Marshall University’s School of Art and Design is opening its doors for the Tri-State business community to meet potential student employees Friday, Dec. 2, during “Tap our Talent.”

The drop-in event, which will take place from 1:30 until 3:30 p.m. in Marshall’s Visual Arts Center at 927 Third Ave. in Huntington, will feature students from all areas of emphasis, their portfolios and original works. Emphases include graphic design, photography, painting, printmaking, ceramics and sculpture.

“The event is an introduction of talented visual art majors to members of the Tri-State business community who have now or will have in the future jobs and internships for candidates with the soft and real skill sets of a visual art major,” said Sandra Reed, director of the School of Art and Design.

Reed said individuals who wish to directly commission an artist for freelance work are also invited.

Tri-State businesses and individuals who wish to attend this free event can RSVP by calling 304-696-7299.
