The Marshall University School of Music will present “About Bizet,” a recital of Parisian music for flute and piano, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, in the Jomie Jazz Center on Marshall’s Huntington campus.

Marshall faculty members Dr. Wendell Dobbs, flutist, and Dr. Johan Botes, pianist, will perform music by Ambroise Thomas, Gabriel Fauré, Georges Enesco and Georges Bizet.

“This is music from the golden age of the flute — some of the best music by some of the most gifted composers,” Dobbs said.

The concert is free and open to the public, with sponsorship from the School of Music in the College of Arts and Media. For more information, contact the School of Music at 304-696-3117 or visit www.marshall.edu/music.
