“Graduation feels bittersweet. It’s a day symbolizing all of our hard work throughout the years, but it’s also a day we say goodbye to classmates who feel like family and a program that feels like home. But it’s incredibly exciting, because it’s a day to celebrate the excitement of the future possibilities we’ve created for ourselves,” said Sheshadri “Deea” Hoque, Class of 2021 President.
At its sixth graduation and investiture April 29 at the Mountain Health Arena, Marshall University School of Pharmacy awarded 59 Doctor of Pharmacy degrees to the Class of 2021. Class of 2020 graduates in attendance were also recognized. Thomas Menighan, B.S. Pharm., M.B.A., Sci.D. (hon.), CEO emeritus of the American Pharmacists Association, delivered the keynote address.
“The pharmacy profession has always been innovative, yet in this last year our resilience…has been challenged,” Menighan said. “Marshall students, faculty and staff have answered the challenge.”
