“Multiple generations have been negatively impacted by substance use and trauma,” said Jennifer Mills Price, Psy.D., director of Healthy Connections. “Our annual fall conference offers workshops to connect community members with evidence-based interventions to support children and families.”
Conference speakers include Trish Luna, the Nashville-based author of Timbi Talks, a children’s book about coping with parental substance use; Carol Smith, Ph.D., counseling professor at Marshall University and vice president of the WV ACES Coalition; and Todd Davies, Ph.D. associate director of research for the division of addiction sciences at Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine.
