Update: The concert will take place at Smith Recital Hall rather than the Jomie Jazz Center.
The Brass Band of the TriState will present its annual Christmas concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec.13, in the Smith Recital Hall on the Marshall University campus.
Under the direction of Dr. Michael Stroeher, professor of low brass in Marshall’s School of Music, the band will perform a variety of unique carol arrangements and popular Christmas favorites.
The featured soloist will be tubist Anthony Reynolds playing a jazzy arrangement of “Frosty the Snowman.” Reynolds, a recent Marshall graduate, will be leaving in January for service in the U.S. Army Bands.
